Luke Joliffe

Luke Joliffe – Chief Winemaker – Stella Bella Wines

After completing a degree in Viticulture from Adelaide University in 1999, Luke joined Hardy’s Tintara in McLaren Vale. During this time, he also finished his Post Graduate degree in Oenology which led to a vintage in St Joseph, France in 2005.  Following this vintage Luke’s focus turned to winemaking. An opportunity arose with Stella Bella where Luke has been chief winemaker since 2013. Luke’s winemaking philosophy is focused on detailed viticulture and respectful winemaking technique resulting in individual, thought provoking southern Margaret River wines. This detail has led Luke to being a finalist for Gourmet Traveller winemaker of the year in 2020 and Stella Bella receiving the number 8 position in the Top Wineries of Australia by the Real Review in 2023.
